iPhone 16 Series, What makes the new iPhone Stand Out?
The iPhone 16 series has been generating buzz ever since it was unveiled at the ‘Glow time’ launch event on September 9 this year. New Chip:
The iPhone 16 series has a new chip, the A18 for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Also the A18 Pro for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. This new chip technology was created to handle all AI tasks and features in all four models. For the non-Pro models, the A18 chip is two generations ahead of the previous one.
The new A18 chip has a six-core CPU that Apple says is 30% faster and uses 30% less power compared to last year’s A16 Bionic in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The A18 Pro has better memory handling and a larger cache to support ‘Advanced media’ features. It also comes with features like a ProMotion display, Always-On display, faster USB 3 speeds, and ProRes video recording.
Action Button and Camera Control:
The Action Button, which replaced the mute switch on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, is now available on the entire iPhone 16 series. This button can be customized to perform different tasks at various times of the day. Users can set it to turn on the flashlight, record Voice Memos, or activate Shortcuts and specific Control Center features in iOS 18.
The Camera Control button is designed for quickly taking photos and videos with one tap. It works like a DSLR camera button a light press focuses on the subject, and a full press captures the photo. Also to record a video, just hold the button. You can also adjust the zoom by sliding your finger on the touch sensor.
The iPhone 16 Series Camera Control button will soon support a feature called Visual Intelligence. This allows you to point your phone at objects or places and get quick information. For example, you could point the camera at a new restaurant and instantly see details like its opening hours and menu.
Color lineup:
The muted colors from the iPhone 15 series have been replaced with brighter and warmer tones. Also the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus come in three new colors: Ultramarine, Teal, and Pink. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max also have a new color, Desert Titanium, which replaces last year’s Blue Titanium.
Camera Specs:
There are some noticeable changes to the outside of the devices. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have a different camera setup compared to the iPhone 15 series. They feature a dual rear camera system with a 48MP main lens and a 12MP ultra wide camera that includes a macro mode for better close-up photos.
